The Obvara Collection

Obvara, a centuries-old technique thought to have originated from Eastern Europe, celebrates the art of transformation through fire and earth.

This unique pottery method involves taking pots, fired to 800c - 1000c, directly from the kiln and briefly dipping, pouring or submerging them in a fermented mixture of flour, water, sugar and yeast. The clay body, temperature of the piece and liveliness of the fermented mixture all influence the striking variations from soft grays to vibrant blacks.

Experience the ancient craft and contemporary beauty of Obvara ceramics, where each creation is a testament to the essence of nature and time.
